Sudden death of 8-year-old boy investigated in Okanagan

Police are investigating the death of an eight-year-old boy last weekend in the north Okanagan.

The RCMP were called to assist paramedics at an address in the Lumby area, about a 25-minute drive outside of Vernon, on Saturday afternoon.

The boy was flown by helicopter to Kelowna General Hospital that evening, and was pronounced dead early the next morning, police said in a news release on Wednesday.
