Saskatoon debut of Sheepdogs documentary

SASKATOON – A documentary about hometown favourites The Sheepdogs has premiered at a movie theatre in Saskatoon.

“The Sheepdogs Have At It” follows the band from their appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine to the completion of their self-titled album.

After following the band for nearly four months, director John Barnard said the Sheepdogs break the mold of stereotypical documentary subjects.

Barnard said he followed the band until money ran out and used what footage he had to build a narrative.
