Officers were called to the scene in the 3900 block of 29 Avenue Southeast at about 9 p.m.

Police said two men got into an altercation, and one of the men allegedly stabbed the other and left the scene.

“Two guys came out of the house over here and chased him down,” neighbour Courtney Hawthorne told Global News. “They started to fight … And I heard one of the garbage bins get knocked over, and then one of the guys said: ‘You’re dead, you’re dead.’”

Investigators said they have recovered the weapon used in the stabbing.

According to police, no arrests have been made, but it’s believed the two men knew each other and there is no risk to the public.
