Seven Manitobans facing charges in alleged pyramid scheme

Seven Manitobans are facing charges in connection with an alleged pyramid scheme.

Almost three years ago, RCMP say complaints surfaced in and around Steinbach about Business in Motion, a company based in Missisauga.

In all, 13 people are charged, including a handful from Ontario.

• Lena TRACK (56 years) From Ontario

• Janice DEGAZON (54 years) From Ontario

• Kimberley HEIER (50 years) From Manitoba

• Lisa BEHRENDT (48 years) From Manitoba

• Annie PETKAU (38 years) From Manitoba

• Katharine REIMER (52 years) From Manitoba

• Melinda SCHEPER (45 years) From Manitoba

• David KAUENHOWEN (59 years) From Manitoba

• Cornelia KAUENHOWEN (56 years) From Ontario

• Charlene FRIESEN (40 years) From B.C.

All of the accused were ordered to appear in Steinbach Court Thursday.
