To the dismay of many Canadian fast-food connoisseurs, KFC’s limited-time, artery-clogging Double Down is off the menu.
It was both loved (in less than a month, Canadians ate more than a million of the bun-less sandwiches, which would have stacked as high as 140 CN Towers) and hated (the blog Treehugger called it “the vilest food product created by man,” while consumerist called it “potentially lethal”).
But regardless of how it was perceived, the Double Down still wasn’t the least healthy item on fast food menus. Global News takes a look at the now-defunct Double Down, and other fast food options.
