Halifax Regional Police have taken a 19-year-old man into custody after a weapons call on Saturday.
At approximately 2:10 a.m. police received a report of a disturbance involving a group of individuals known to each other at 4 Brule St.
Police were told a gun may be involved.

Officers and members of the Emergency Response Team attended the scene and took a suspect into custody without incident.

Investigators did recover a gun at the scene.
Police remain on scene in the area as they secure and prepare to carry out a search warrant at another residence on Brule Street.
Halifax police say they do not believe this was a random incident but say there is no risk to public safety.
The 19-year-old man remains in police custody and police say he will face several firearm-related offences.
He is set for a bail hearing Saturday evening.
