Durham Regional Police say they have charged four suspects and are still looking for one other after a home invasion in Pickering early Monday morning.
Police say officers were called to a residence in the area of Liverpool and Glenanna roads just before 1 a.m.
Investigators allege five male suspects broke into a home and forced four occupants of the residence to the ground. The suspects allegedly then proceeded to take personal belongings and electronics from the residence, police said.
Police said one occupant sustained a minor cut to the head and was treated at the scene and another resident also sustained minor injuries.
According to police, a sawed-off shotgun was found in the suspect vehicle along with stolen property, which officers recovered.
Officers were reportedly able to stop three of the suspects who had fled on foot towards a vehicle, while police say a fourth suspect was caught hiding nearby by canine units and all were taken into custody.
Officers are still looking for a fifth suspect who remains at large.
Police have charged 18-year-old Anthony Jallim of Brampton and three people under the age of 18, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, with 12 criminal charges each.
The charges include robbery, pointing a firearm, break and enter, forcible confinement, weapons dangerous, and disguise with intent.
