According to police spokesperson Raphael Bergeron, the car was travelling northbound on Decarie Boulevard through a green light.

Bergeron says it is possible the pedestrian was crossing the street on a red light.

“It’s tough to confirm by investigators at the moment,” said Bergeron.

Decarie Boulevard between De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street was closed to traffic. The area reopened to traffic late Friday morning.
