Parent charged in connection to alleged assault of child in Temiskaming Shores, Ont.

TEMISKAMING SHORES, Ont. – Police say they’ve charged a parent with an alleged assault on a seven-year-old child in Temiskaming Shores, Ont.

They say the incidents are believed to have taken place over the past few weeks.

Police arrested a 28-year-old person earlier this week but offer few other details.

They confirm the person is the child’s parent, but won’t say if it’s the mother or father.

The accused is facing one count of assault.
