Fans of the London Knights came to watch hockey and to help out on Wednesday night at Budweiser Gardens at the Green and Gold game.

Over three thousand dollars was raised to support the families impacted by the Old East Village gas explosion through the Libro Woodman Families Fund set up by the Old East Village Community Association and Life Spin.

The Knights are just the latest organization to support the fund, with all London Tim Hortons franchises donating a collective $33,000 on Tuesday.

So far the fund has reached over $150,000 in the two weeks since the explosion.

On the ice veteran Knights forwards Josh Nelson and Paul Cotter led Team Green to a 6-3 victory over Team Gold. Both players scored twice. Free agent invite Wesley Rees and 2019 draft pick Max McCue had the others. McCue’s was scored into an empty net with just over two minutes to play.
