Ontario Provincial Police say all lanes on the QEW at Trafalgar Road in Oakville are now open after a fatal motor vehicle collision left one woman dead.
Emergency crews responded to the multi-vehicle crash involving about seven vehicles just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
OPP said a transport truck struck a barrier and caught on fire.
Halton paramedics said seven people were taken to hospital with minor, non life-threatening injuries.
OPP later confirmed a 34-year-old woman from Niagara Falls was found dead during the cleanup and recovery after they moved tractor trailer to find her vehicle pinned against the concrete barrier.

The closure lasted over twelve hours and police were able to fully re-open the highway on Friday around 12:30 p.m.
