Durham Regional Police said the woman was driving down Sanford Road Wednesday morning when the crash occurred.
She was airlifted to a Toronto hospital in life-threatening condition following the collision, but succumbed to her injuries over the weekend.
Investigators say they will not be releasing the name of the deceased victim by request of the woman’s family.
