UPDATE: Hunt was located and arrested by the Prince Albert Police Service on Sept. 1.
Thomas Albert Hunt escaped from the Besnard Lake Correctional Camp on Aug. 2, according to Pinehouse Lake RCMP.
Hunt, 29, went missing that night before 10 p.m. and RCMP said at the time, “he may be travelling to the Prince Albert, Sask., area but this cannot be confirmed.”
The facility is almost 300 kilometres north of Prince Albert, a 3.5-hour drive.
