2019 Canada election results: Malpeque

Liberal incumbent Wayne Easter has been re-elected in the Malpeque riding, Global News has declared.

With 25 of 91 polls reporting, Easter had more than 41 per cent of votes. The Green party and Conservatives had roughly 25 per cent of votes each. The NDP had garnered 7 per cent.

Malpeque, a rural riding in the heart of Prince Edward Island, has been a solid Liberal riding since 1988.

Conservative: Stephen Stewart

NDP: Craig Nash

Green: Anna Keenan

Geography

This riding is in central Prince Edward Island and includes both fishing villages and farmland. The Cavendish Farms potato processing plant is based in this riding and is located in Kingston, PEI.
