A spokesperson said the child was sitting in the back of the vehicle at the time.

Police said the child’s injuries were minor and that they were being treated at the scene.

Officers originally said it was believe the vehicle was shot at. However, after further investigation police said in an update that wasn’t the case.

Investigators noted a shell casing was found at the scene, but it’s believed to be connected to a report of shots fired in the area Sunday night.
