SASKATOON – An arrest has been made in Saskatoon’s first murder of 2013.
Jonathan Livingstone Moosewaypayo, 28, was found stabbed outside a residence in the 100-block of Avenue O South around 12:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
He was rushed to hospital and later died from his injuries.
Police have now charged a 19-year-old Saskatoon man with second-degree murder.
He was being held at the Saskatoon provincial correctional centre on charges after two men were also stabbed on Jan.1 in a separate incident in the area of 22nd Street and Avenue P.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
