Missing toddler found in northern Saskatchewan lake

PINEHOUSE, Sask. – A missing child was found in a northern Saskatchewan lake on Saturday.

RCMP were called to a report of a missing 3-year-old child around 6:50 p.m. at a local residence in Pinehouse.

A search was initiated and shortly after, a resident located the child in Pinehouse Lake.

The child was rushed to the local medical clinic and pronounced dead. Family have requested the name of the child be withheld.

An autopsy has been ordered for next week.

The Saskatoon major crime unit is assisting with an investigation.

Pinehouse Lake is approximately 380 km north of Saskatoon.
