WINNIPEG – A 43-year-old man was stabbed on Maryland Street at about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, police say.
The man was walking in the 400 block of Maryland when he was confronted by several males he didn’t know.

He was attacked and received “multiple injuries consistent with being stabbed,” police said in a news release.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
Police have received “limited information” but continue to investigate, the news release said.
