TORONTO – Police have arrested two people Tuesday morning after a search warrant was issued in Brampton.
Global News has learned that the men were apprehended during a raid at two homes.
A number of items, including luxury vehicles, furniture and an undisclosed amount of cash, were seized at 17 Ferncastle and 71 Aylesbury Drive.
Both Toronto and Peel police took part in the investigation.
Police have not confirmed whether these arrests are linked to the armoured truck company that was robbed back in mid-April.
In that case, it is alleged the suspects, who had covered their faces to avoid identification, entered INKAS Security Services Company on April 14, 2013 at 64 Signet Dr. and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police say some of the stolen funds may have come from the Toronto Transit Commission, but the money belonged to INKAS Security at the time of the theft.

Investigators found one victim bound and struck with a handgun. The victim was not armed at the time of the assault.
Police said the suspects fled, along with a male driver, in a dark two door coupe.
There’s no word on how long police will be searching the homes in Brampton. The investigation is being led by the Toronto police Hold-Up Squad. A statement is expected by later in the day.
