Vancouver Police say a 30-year-old Vancouver man has died after being shot Tuesday evening in Kitsilano.
Police said the shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. near West 4th Avenue and Burrard Street.
Officers arrived to find a BMW SUV parked near the busy intersection and riddled with bullet holes.
The victim, who died at the scene, was in the driver’s seat and the engine and lights were still on.

Police said early investigations point to this being a targeted incident. No arrests have been made.
Investigators are also looking into whether a torched vehicle that was found a short drive away from the scene is connected to the shooting.
“There was information received of a vehicle leaving the scene, a description was provided, and just around midnight we were made aware by the Vancouver Fire Rescue Service of a vehicle on fire at West 22nd Avenue near Arbutus Street,” said Const. Jason Doucette.
Doucette said it is too early to say if the killing was gang related, but were not ruling anything out.
Traffic was restricted on Burrard Street between West 4th and 5th Avenues while police investigated.
