Contacts advance to Telus Cup semi-finals

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – The Saskatoon Contacts are off to the playoff round at the Telus Cup.

Kolten Olynek had a hat-trick and added a helper as the Contacts downed the Valley Wildcats 9-1.

Terrel Draude added a pair of goals and Vukie Mpofu, Kobe Kindrachuk, MacArthur Bell and Wyatt Sloboshan, on a penalty shot, each added singles as the Contacts ended the round-robin with a 2-1-2 record.

Brock Hamm made 19 saves to record the win. He lost his bid for a shut-out when the Wildcats scored with 84 seconds left in the game.

The Contacts play their semi-final game Saturday afternoon.
