Kitchener Rangers’ Greg Meireles named OHL Player of the Month

For the second consecutive month a member of the Kitchener Rangers has collected monthly OHL honours.

In February, Luke Richardson was named as the league’s best goaltende. This month it’s Greg Meireles’s turn to collect accolades, as the Rangers forward has been named OHL Player of the Month for March.

The Ottawa native finished tied as the league’s top point-getter after scoring five goals while setting up another 13.

Heading into the playoffs on Saturday, he has now recorded a point in 20 consecutive games.

Both Richardson and Meireles will need to continue their hot play when the Rangers open their first-round playoff series Friday in Guelph against the Storm.
