Men armed with handguns steal vehicle in Saskatoon carjacking

Police continue to search for suspects after a carjacking in Saskatoon on Sunday night.

A woman told Saskatoon police she was giving a ride to two other women when they told her to stop in an alley in the 300 block of Avenue Q South.

She said two men armed with handguns then approached and stole the vehicle.

The victim was not injured.

Officers later spotted the vehicle on Diefenbaker Drive, but said the driver refused to stop.

The vehicle was then driven into oncoming traffic and police ended the chase.

It was then spotted on 22nd Street West near Avenue W.

Police said a tire deflation device was deployed, but failed to disable the vehicle and the suspect fled.
