Man on Most Wanted list arrested in Calgary, sent back to Armenia

CALGARY- One of the country’s most wanted men by the Canada Border Services Agency has been booted from the country.

Edgar Tsovikian was featured on the CBSA’s most wanted list, which the agency published in hopes the public could help track the individuals down.

Tsovikian was arrested on March 21 with the assistance of Calgary Police and the Alberta Integrated Fugitive Apprehension Unit. A warrant was issued for his arrest after he was considered inadmissible to Canada for being convicted of break and enter, possession of stolen property, mischief, fraudulent use of a credit card and unlawful possession of a firearm.

After being taken into custody, he was removed from Canada on April 16 and sent back to Armenia.

Since being launched, the Wanted by the CBSA program has helped locate 40 individuals in Canada. 29 have already been sent back to their home countries. Six individuals were also located abroad.
