A 14-year-old girl is fighting for her life after she was hit by a bus early Friday morning in Montreal’s east end.
The collision occurred around 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Sherbrooke and Famille-Dubreuil streets in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said the teenager was taken to hospital. As of Friday afternoon, she remains in critical condition.
“We fear for her life,” said Brabant.
The bus driver was treated for shock at the scene, according to Brabant. He did not suffer any injuries.
A security perimeter in the area has since been lifted.
An investigation is underway.
