Guelph Storm win 5th straight, top Erie Otters 4-3 in overtime

The Guelph Storm needed a little more than a minute of overtime to beat the Erie Otters 4-3 on Wednesday night and extend their winning streak to five games.

Liam Hawel fed Cedric Ralph on a two-on-one break to beat netminder Cole Ceci at 1:06 of the extra period in front of 2,000 fans at Erie Insurance Arena.

Isaac Ratcliffe, Zachary Roberts and Dmitri Samorukov also scored for Guelph.

It was goal number 46 on the season for Ratcliffe, who leads the Storm in that category and sits fifth in the Ontario Hockey League.

Nate Schnarr’s 60th assist puts him second in OHL behind Morgan Frost of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
