RCMP investigating suspicious death in Red Deer County

Blackfalds RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in Red Deer County, Alta.

Police said they responded to a disturbance at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the municipality and came across a deceased man.

“Police have taken an adult female into custody,” RCMP said in a news release Wednesday. “There is no further threat to the public.”

Police did not provide any more details as of 4:30 p.m. MT.

Red Deer County covers an area of about 4,042 square kilometres and surrounds the city of Red Deer. It extends south to Township Road 340, west to approximately Range Road 45 and east to the Red Deer River.
