Whiteout conditions result in at least 15 collisions in eastern N.B.

Blustery and whiteout conditions in New Brunswick Tuesday morning led to at least 15 vehicles being involved in collisions at the Cocagne Bridge, according to police.

New Brunswick RCMP say emergency crews were dispatched to the area shortly after 9 a.m. They worked for several hours to clear the vehicles.

The bridge remains closed due to poor visibility and road conditions. Police are asking motorists to use alternative routes.
