Montreal police are investigating after a car was set on fire in the east-end Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough on Monday morning.

Officers were called to the corner of Desjardins Avenue and Aldis Bernard Street around 2 a.m.

They say no one was inside the car at the time of the fire.

Investigators are examining the scene; no suspects have been arrested.
