The 91st Academy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night, and without a host for this year’s show, many were expecting the result to be messy.

Yet the biggest awards show of the year turned out to be quite eventful, perhaps most notably with the performance of Shallow from the A Star is Born (2018) soundtrack.

Lady Gaga took the stage with her fellow co-star and director Bradley Cooper to share an extremely intimate rendition of the smash-hit duet.

Not only did the pair take home the Oscar for Best Original Song, but they had viewers across the globe in the palm of their hands.

Thanks to their perpetual chemistry — on and off-screen — many fans are convinced Gaga, 32, and Cooper, 44, may have sparked their own romance. The Perfect Illusionperhaps?

“There’s not a single person on the planet that could have sang this song with me but you,” said Gaga to Cooper upon accepting her first Academy Award.

The Born this Way singer went up against Black Panther, RBG, Mary Poppins Returns and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

For the first time ever, Cooper abandoned his role as “Jackson Maine” during Sunday night’s performance.

The actor sang the song in his own voice; as himself, leading many to believe — or hope — that maybe the pair have developed their own secret relationship.

Thousands of viewers immediately took to social media to share their emotions. Many cited that the chemistry between the co-stars may have even made them “pregnant” — men included.

A huge amount of “Little Monsters” began speculating Gaga’s relationship status after her fiancée, Christian Carino, did not attend this year’s Grammy Awards.

Among many people thanked for her three Grammy wins earlier this month, Carino, 49, was not listed. Some meticulous fans even noticed Gaga no longer bore her engagement ring.

The singer’s Valentine’s Day gift to herself was even a tattoo which pays tribute to A Star is Born. Others took this as a hint that it’s something for Gaga to remember Cooper with.

Although not confirmed, many are convinced Gaga and Carino ended things. Cooper, however, is not so public about his relationship status.
