According to a tweet from Barrie Fire, on Thursday at around 11 a.m., crews were called to a building on Hart Drive due to chlorine issues.

Barrie Fire says approximately 20 guests were evacuated and sheltered on a Barrie Transit bus while crews worked to ventilate the building.

Just after noon on Thursday, Barrie Fire tweeted an update, saying guests were permitted back inside after the building was fully ventilated.

Officials say the incident was isolated to a specific room and the source was not chlorine from the pool.

According to Barrie Fire, Barrie police have been called to the scene to investigate.
