A three-vehicle collision at the Mactaquac Dam in Kingsclear, N.B., resulted in several vehicles becoming stuck during Wednesday’s winter storm.
New Brunswick RCMP say they were called to the scene around 12:15 p.m.
One person involved in the crash was sent to hospital with injuries, according to police. Six vehicles remained stuck at the scene as of 2:45 p.m.
Witnesses say at least eight to 10 first responders were also left stranded.

Access to the dam on Mactaquac Road has been blocked off as officers work to clear the scene. Police say they are working through whiteout conditions and there currently isn’t a timeline for when the section of road will reopen.
A winter storm warning has been issued by Environment Canada across the entire province, with as much as 40 centimetres of snow expected in some areas.
