A large sinkhole about four feet deep has closed a street in downtown Toronto early Monday.

The sinkhole is located on Court Street just west of Church Street.

Toronto police said a vehicle was partially in the sinkhole. It has since been removed.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Court Street are closed to traffic.

There’s no timeline when the roadway will fully reopen.

Update: – unit OS has confirmed, a large sink hole approx 10'x 6' wide, approx 4' deep, on Court St just W of Church St
– the road has been closed.
