RCMP in Moncton are looking for a man seen running from the scene of an altercation that sent three people to hospital.

Officers were called to a residence on Whitney Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

When police arrived, they found three men “in the vicinity” of Whitney Avenue and Argyle Street who had been injured. RCMP will not say how the men were injured or whether a weapon was involved.

The three people were transported to hospital by ambulance, where they remain as of Thursday morning.

“The injuries were serious enough for them to be taken to the hospital. Beyond that, the investigation is ongoing,” said RCMP Sgt. Louis Robichaud.

Images by videographer Wade Perry show RCMP officers in body armour and carrying carbine rifles, while paramedics loaded at least one patient into an ambulance on a stretcher.

“We believe we know the individuals invovled in this incident and it’s an isolated incident,” Robichaud said.
