Four men have been charged following an investigation into a roadside assault last summer in the Town of Bancroft.
Bancroft OPP say on the evening on June 9, 2018, officers responded to reports of an assault on Forest View Road.
Police say the extensive investigation led to information from “dozens of witnesses” who reported that two men — ages 63 and 53 — were assaulted during a roadside altercation.
One of the victims suffered serious injuries, OPP reported. No other details were provided on the incident.

The investigation led to the arrest of four individuals on Jan. 21.
Robert Victor Gruber, 21, of Barrie, along with Adam Wilfred Parkin, 21, Nicholas Justin Tito, 22, and Aaron Anthony Parkin, 23, all of Georgina, Ont., were each charged with aggravated assault and assault.
Parkin was additionally charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

OPP say all four of the accused were held pending a bail hearing in Belleville on Jan. 22.
