OSHAWA, Ont. – Kyle Maksimovich had three goals and an assist and Lucas Chiodo added four helpers as the Ottawa 67’s downed the Oshawa Generals 9-6 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Austen Keating, Marco Rossi, Sam Bitten, Jack Quinn, Tye Felhaber and Mitchell Hoelscher also scored for the 67’s (33-9-4), who have won three in a row.
Anthony Salinitri struck twice while Kyle MacLean, Nicolas Mattinen, Tyler Tullio and Brett Neumann had the others for the Generals (28-16-2), who had their five-game win streak halted.
Michael DiPietro turned away 32 shots for Ottawa. Aidan Hughes combined with Kyle Keyser for 22 saves for Oshawa.
The 67’s went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Generals were 4 for 7 with the man advantage.
SPIRIT 7 FRONTENACS 1
KINGSTON, Ont. — Nicholas Porco scored twice and Bode Wilde had a goal and two assists as Saginaw beat the Frontenacs for its fifth straight victory.
Jake Goldowski, Damien Giroux, Justin Murray and Camaryn Baber also scored as Tristan Lennox made 20 saves for the Spirit (30-12-4).
Ryan Cranford replied for Kingston (12-33-1). Brendan Bonello allowed seven goals on 36 shots to take the loss.
STEELHEADS 4 COLTS 3 (OT)
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Thomas Harley set up two goals before potting one of his own at 2:08 of overtime as the Steelheads beat Barrie for their fourth win in a row.
Cole Schwindt, Liam Ham and Cole Carter also scored as Joe Ranger made 28 saves for Mississauga (22-19-5).
Aidan Brown, Nathan Allensen and Jacob Tortora responded for the Colts (19-24-2). Jet Greaves turned away 27 shots in defeat.
WOLVES 7 PETES 4
SUDBURY, Ont. — Blake Murray had a goal and two assists and Drake Pilon scored the winner at 3:14 of the third as the Wolves toppled Peterborough
Liam Ross, Nolan Hutcheson, Shane Bulitka, Cole Candella and Adam Ruzicka also scored for Sudbury (27-16-3). Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 20 saves for the win.
Adam Timleck had a hat trick and Liam Kirk also scored for the Petes (23-21-2). Hunter Jones kicked out 26 shots in a losing effort.
STORM 6 ATTACK 1
GUELPH, Ont. — Anthony Popovich turned aside 29 shots as the Storm dealt Owen Sound its sixth consecutive loss.
Sean Durzi, Liam Hawel, Fedor Gordeev, MacKenzie Entwistle, Keegan Stevenson and Dmitri Samorukov supplied the goals for the Storm (25-13-8).
Andrew Perrott scored for the Attack (22-20-4). Andrew MacLean combined with Mack Guzda for 28 saves in a losing cause.
FIREBIRDS 7 RANGERS 2
KITCHENER, Ont. — Emanuel Vella turned away 51 shots as Flint got past the Rangers to snap a three-game slide.
Jack Wismer and Evan Vierling had a pair of goals each for the Firebirds (9-36-3), who got singles from Ethan Keppen, Ty Dellandrea and Hunter Holmes.
Donovan Sebrango and Reid Valade scored for Kitchener (20-22-3). Lucas Pfeil combined with Luke Richardson for 22 saves in defeat.
KNIGHTS 7 SPITFIRES 0
LONDON, Ont. — Joseph Raaymakers made 22 saves and Liam Foudy had a goal and three helpers to lift the Knights over Windsor.
Kevin Hancock, Connor McMichael, Evan Bouchard, Alec Regula, Matvey Guskov and Antonio Stranges also scored for London (32-7-6).
Kari Piiroinen turned away 26 shots for the Spitfires (20-25-3), losers of four straight.
