Calgary police investigate stabbing in Forest Lawn

Calgary police are investigating a stabbing Saturday morning in Forest Lawn.

It happened at a home in the 2600 block of 48 Street S.E. at around 5 a.m.

Police said early indications are there was some sort of altercation between two men who lived in the home.

“One has slashes to the neck and the other to the belly area,” Staff Sgt. Andy MacLeod said.

The man with stomach wounds is in serious, but stable condition in hospital, officers said.

Police later clarified that the man with neck injuries was not related to the incident — there was no crime scene or suspect and he wouldn’t co-operate with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
