The former chief accountant for a West Kelowna company is under police investigation for allegedly cooking the books to serve herself a heaping pile of cash.
According to information sworn by RCMP to obtain a search warrant, about $450,000 was transferred from the bank accounts of Alpine Helicopters to the accounts of Sandra Peterson.
Police were called after a fellow employee noticed suspicious and unauthorized money transactions.
Peterson is being investigated for fraud, theft and breach of trust.
Charges have not been laid to try to have the allegations proven in court.
Peterson no longer works for Alpine Helicopters.
