The driver of an SUV and two students were injured after a collision between the vehicle and a school bus.
Investigators said the school bus travelling west on Taylor Street East struck the southbound SUV, which ran a red light on Cumberland Avenue South, at roughly 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Saskatoon police said the bus struck the vehicle, pushed it through the intersection, and into a tree on Cumberland.
Firefighters said the SUV driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. The 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The school bus driver and two of the 16 students received minor injuries. They were treated on scene by Medavie Health Services West paramedics.
One student was taken to hospital.
As of 2:40 p.m. CT, the collision reconstruction team had cleared the crash scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
