Sergeant Craig Yorke says police will also inspect the man’s car to see if it had any mechanical problems.

Police divers recovered Hevegeld’s body yesterday in Cape Breton’s St. Anns Bay.

Witnesses say the 2007 Toyota Camry failed to stop once it was on the ferry, hitting an elevated ramp at one end and plunging into St Anns Bay.

A subsequent search for the car was delayed last week by strong currents and pack ice.
