A man is in serious, but stable condition after being stabbed outside a downtown nightclub in Calgary early Sunday morning.
He was stabbed outside of Music, a club near the 1100 block of 10 Avenue S.W., investigators said.
Close to 2 a.m., a man arrived at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre with a “life-threatening” laceration on his neck that was serious enough for EMS to transport him to Foothills Medical Centre, police said. His condition has since stabilized.
No one is in custody and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
In a separate stabbing incident hours earlier, around 11 p.m. Saturday, a man was stabbed outside a convenience store in Vista Heights near the 1900 block of 19 Street N.E.
Police said the victim saw someone whom he believed was trying to break into his car and confronted the person.
The suspect then stabbed the victim numerous times, officers said. He was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
Officers were nearby and quickly located a suspect, who is now in custody with charges pending.
