Guelph police say two arrests have been made after stolen property was found inside a tent city on York Road.
Officers were tipped off about the makeshift community in the area of York Road and Elizabeth Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said they seized several items that were believed to be stolen property, but did not get into details.
It’s alleged that a 23-year-old woman was charged with obstructing police after giving officers a false name. She also had three outstanding warrants for her arrest.

A 41-year-old man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Police are asking residents to not call police about the stolen property. They said the ownership of each item is being investigated.
