Southeast Earls restaurant evacuated after possible gas leak

CALGARY- A popular restaurant has been shut down because of a gas leak.

Emergency crews were called by staff to the Earls on 130th Avenue S.E. just before 3 p.m., after people reported smelling natural gas.

As a precaution, 180 people were evacuated from the restaurant.

On Twitter, one man said people scrambled to get out.

ATCO and Enmax were also called to the scene, and are working with fire crews to find the source
