Police have arrested a man from Angus after a man was allegedly assaulted with a steel water bottle.
According to the Barrie police, on Aug 4., a 25-year-old man from Barrie was a passenger in a vehicle when he was assaulted.
Police say the accused was driving when the two men had an altercation which resulted in the driver hitting the victim in the head with a steel water bottle.

According to police, the victim sustained substantial but non-life-threatening injuries to his head and face.

Police say the 34-year-old man from Angus was arrested on Thursday, and has been charged with assault with a weapon.
Officers say he is scheduled to appear in a Barrie bail court Aug. 9.
