Hamilton police are looking for the driver of a stolen vehicle that crashed into an apartment building on Aug. 4. Global News File

Hamilton police have made an arrest after issuing a warrant for the driver of a car that slammed into an apartment building over the weekend.

Police say a 2007 Infiniti G35, reportedly stolen from Guelph hours before the collision, crashed into the building at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Hamilton police say they have arrested a 17-year-old youth who has been identified as the driver of the vehicle; because of his age, however, his name has not been released.
