Three people were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 22 near Highway 22X west of Calgary, EMS said Tuesday.
RCMP said officers responded to a serious two-vehicle crash involving a Dodge Journey SUV and a Toyota Scion at around 3:10 a.m.
Police said the two men driving the vehicles — aged 26 and 34 — died in the collision, along with a 31-year-old woman who was a passenger of the car.
EMS said a 26-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital by STARS in serious, non-life-threatening condition.
“Everything looks like it was a head-on collision,” RCMP Cpl. Tiffany McGregor said.
RCMP said alcohol and drugs are not thought to be factors in the collision.

Both vehicles involved have been removed from the scene for further analysis by collision investigators.
The highway re-opened at around 10 a.m.
