Highway 400 southbound lanes reopen after crash in Barrie’s north end

Ontario Provincial Police say the southbound lanes of Highway 400 in Barrie have reopened after a crash.

After 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, police said a collision occurred between Duckworth and Bayfield streets.

As a result of the crash, officers closed that portion of the highway.

A spokesperson for Simcoe County paramedics told Global News two people were taken to a local hospital. One of the patients had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and the second had minor injuries.

Police said in an update after 1 a.m. on Friday that the highway reopened.
