Dartmouth Moosehead Dry tie NSSBL record with 19th win in a row

Dartmouth’s senior men’s baseball team is on the verge of history.

The Moosehead Dry tied the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League (NSSBL) record with their 19th-straight victory Monday night with a 12-2 win over the Kenville Wildcats.

The record has been standing since 2002 when the Dry also won 19 straight. This year’s team remains undefeated with a 19-0 record.

Dartmouth’s Chris Thibideau is leading the NSSBL in several batting categories, including most home runs, runs, RBIs, doubles, and sits second in the league with a .416 batting average.

Starting pitcher Jeff Reeves currently holds a perfect 7-0 record, while leading the league in wins and strikeouts.

The Dry will look to set the win-streak record this weekend against the second place, 14-11 Sydney Sooners.
