Wellington County OPP say the Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate the death of a worker on a farm in Mapletown Township.

Emergency crews were called to the farm on Side Road 15 near Conestogo Lake on Thursday afternoon.

The 24-year-old man was found unresponsive in an underground holding tank and pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as Pieter Albertus van den Brink of the Netherlands.

The cause of death is still under investigation by the Ministry of Labour and the OPP.

The farm is about 50 kilometres northwest of Guelph.
