A third person has died as a result of a two-vehicle crash in the Shediac, N.B., area on Tuesday.
New Brunswick RCMP say the crash happened around 3:50 p.m. on Highway 15 near Shemogue, N.B.
Police believe an SUV carrying four people heading westbound was attempting to pass when it collided with another SUV making a left hand turn into a private driveway.

Two 82-year-old men died at the scene. Two women from Kedgwick, N.B., ages 69 and 80, who were also passengers in the vehicle, were sent to hospital in critical condition.

In a news release Thursday afternoon, police said the 80-year-old has since died from her injuries.
The 69-year-old woman remains in hospital.
The two people in the SUV that was struck — a 36-year-old man and 34-year-old woman — were treated at the scene.
